Community Supported Agriculture is a movement that brings together local farmers and city dwellers in mutually beneficial relationships. CSA farmers are guaranteed income for the season and CSA members have direct access to fresh, local and organic produce.
For 14 years the Sixth Street Community Center CSA has provided its members with the freshest and best tasting produce available from local farms. Since 1996 more than 200 different varieties of fruits, vegetables and herbs are provided June to November from our partner farms, Hepworth Farm in Ulster County, New York and Catalpa Ridge Farm in Sussex County, New Jersey.
Beginning in 2002, Sixth Street Community Center CSA has offered its members fruits and vegetables in the winter and spring months from late November to mid-May through Winter Sun Farms and other distributors.
Our CSA also offers wild Alaskan coho, sockeye and king salmon, cod, halibut and rockfish as well as olive oil, wines, honey, vinegars, and other specialty items. And this last season we started a raw milk and cheese club.
Pick-ups are every Tuesday, 5pm-9pm.
